That is why we offer a bespoke customisation and alteration service, extending the same hand-knotted craftsmanship of our studios to rugs made exactly to your specification.
Whether you require a precise dimension to suit an architectural space, or wish to shape the colours and motifs of a design to your own sensibility, our consultants and weavers are here to guide the process from first conversation to final installation.
Dimension Customisation
No two rooms are the same. A corridor with its particular proportions, a living room anchored by a specific arrangement of furniture — these spaces deserve a rug woven to fit them, not one that merely approximates.
Our dimension customisation service begins with a visit from one of our consultants, who will come to your home or commercial space to measure with precision. There is no guesswork and no compromise: every measurement is taken with the finished installation in mind.
From those measurements, our studios hand-knot your chosen rug resulting in a piece woven to live in your space as though it were always meant to be there.
Once complete, we will deliver and fit the finished rug, ensuring it lies just as it should.
Design Alteration
Our rugs carry within them centuries of Afghan weaving heritage — garden motifs meeting mathematical precision, botanical artistry interwoven with geometric rigour. The Customisation by Design service invites you to enter into that tradition as a collaborator, shaping the colours, layout, and motifs of a piece that is genuinely your own.
Our designers will sit with you to discuss your vision in full. Colour palettes can be shifted or entirely reimagined; design layouts can be recomposed; motifs drawn from the rich vocabulary of Afghan and Persian weaving can be selected, emphasised, or rebalanced. Every conversation is an opportunity to bring the piece closer to what you have in mind.
From those discussions, our studios will hand-weave the altered design with the same precision and care given to all our pieces.
Please note that all design alterations are subject to the natural limitations of hand-weaving. Our consultants will advise on what is achievable within those constraints, so that every expectation is met with honesty and craft.
Once complete, we will deliver and fit the finished rug.
